Science museum's nature center to close after five decades

More than five decades after hosting its first school field trips, a Washington County nature center managed by the Science Museum of Minnesota is set to close at the end of the year.
The Lee and Rose Warner Nature Center on Thursday announced that the museum and the nonprofit that owns the 600-plus-acre site, the Manitou Fund, would end their long-running partnership. A statement on the center's website said the Manitou Fund "elected not to renew the agreement" it had with the museum. ...
